What were you doing before signing up for the course?
I studied a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Sustainability and CSR and then did an internship, but I was looking for something much more practical. Although I had already studied a lot, I didn’t feel ready to enter the professional world because of my lack of practical experience.
What was your main concern before starting the course?
The programming part. But the mentors assured me that the program is designed for people with no previous knowledge and that many people before me had the same concern and finally finished the program successfully. In Ubiqum you go from zero to a hundred (a complex job), in 5 months. The progression during the course is phenomenal!
Why did you feel Ubiqum was the best choice?
I looked at different masters before coming here, but decided I couldn’t commit for another 2 years – it was too long and I didn’t want any more theories. I chose Ubiqum Code Academy because what I was looking for was something practical that would prepare me for working life.
Do you consider that our “Learning by doing” methodology has been effective?
I have learned a lot here with the “Learning by Doing” methodology. I was lost the first couple of weeks, but once you get past that, you see the benefits.
By simulating the type of work environment you are going to, you feel like you have to get involved with the routine. You are pressured to be proactive and work like a professional analyst from day one.
Would you recommend Ubiqum? And if so, why?
I would definitely recommend Ubiqum. If you want intensive training in analytics, or just a career change, in 5 months this program makes it possible. I have done just that – it really works.
Other comments or anything else you would like to add?
Before I signed up, I saw that the skills you learn at Ubiqum are very relevant to today’s professional market and, now that I have finished the program and found a job, this perception is absolutely true. I would also like to say that being part of such a communicative group helped me a lot – there was an amazing atmosphere that encouraged peer support.
