Congratulations on your new job! Where are you going to work?
Thank you! I just started at Neugelb Studios here in Berlin. Initially, I’m on a probationary period but, if everything goes well, I hope it will turn into a permanent position.
What were you doing before you signed up for our course?
After working for a year as an X-Ray technician, I decided to travel around Australia and Southeast Asia. When I came back after my sabbatical year, I discovered that programming was a subject that really interested me and I saw that front-end and full-stack developer profiles were in high demand. So, I started looking for courses and discovered Ubiqum.
What was your main concern before you started?
I knew that I was going to have to work hard and that it would not necessarily be easy to find a job afterwards. My main concern was that because of the high demands and strict requirements, and the fact that I didn’t have a degree in computer science or anything similar, it would be very difficult for me to find a job.
Why did you feel Ubiqum was the best choice?
I liked the philosophy of the academy and the fact that you can do the Java Web Developer course without any previous experience and without any requirement of previous, theoretical and boring work to be accepted. Ubiqum’s methodology works from the first minute with people starting from scratch.
How would you say the Career Placement service helped you?
The Career Placement service has been one of the highlights of the course because, even thinking that I would not have good results, I learned certain things and I was given guidelines that have been of great help in my job search.
