When I saw the high rate of students finding jobs after the course, I knew it was the place for me.

Congratulations on your new job! Where are you going to work?

Thank you, I am very happy. I am going to work at Marfeel, where some of the Ubiqum students have been hired.

What were you doing before you signed up for our course?

I was a traffic engineer, so I was doing traffic simulations and forecasting and working to optimize traffic lights. While working there, I was in contact with a lot of Senior Developers, which made me realize how much I liked it and that’s when I decided that I wanted to become a Developer too.

What was your main concern before you started?

I didn’t know exactly if I would be ready to enter the world of web development after only five months, but now, after completing the course, I see that with this methodology it is possible. I have already found a job, which proves that it is feasible. Everything has happened very fast.

Why did you feel Ubiqum was the best choice?

What Ubiqum offered me, in terms of course content, is what attracted me. It wasn’t just front-end web development, I saw that the course covered the Java programming language and I knew that, when I left, I could be a Full Stack Developer. I liked that it lasted 5 months, with a total of 800 hours, and the “Learn by Doing” methodology caught my attention. When I saw the job placement rate of Ubiqum students in Web Developer roles, I knew this was the place for me.

Do you consider that our “Learning by doing” methodology has been effective?

Yes, it has definitely been effective, it makes you think a lot about what you are doing. Being organized like a real job, with progress control meetings and real projects, I can see how this is totally related to what I’m going to do in my new job. I know they work this way.

What would you say to someone who is considering changing careers to do web development?

Technology and web development are the future. There is plenty of work – proven by the fact that 96% of Ubiqum students get jobs almost immediately after completing the course. If you want to learn extra things, related to the programming you are doing, you can always ask the tutors, who help you develop your learning even further. There are plenty of resources and people available to help you.
